Bassett – Rogers
A pretty home wedding last night was that of Miss Ella Rogers,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Rogers of 151 Herkimer street, and Frank Taylor
Bassett Jr. The bridal party entered the parlor by the rear, led by the
ushers, William S. Parmlee, Charles S. Norman, Harry DeMott and Frank
Eldridge. They were followed by the maid of honor, Miss Eva Schilling, in a
gown of pale blue silk trimmed with lace. She carried La France roses. The
bride and her father came last. She was becomingly attired in lemon colored
silk, trimmed with white lace. Her bouquet was made of bridal roses and lilies
of the valley. The groom and best man awaited the arrival in the front parlor,
where, surrounded by palms and Easter lilies, Rev. A.J.F. Behrends tied the
nuptial knot. A small reception followed the ceremony, after which Mr. and
Mrs. Bassett left town for a trip of a few weeks’ duration. Among those who
congratulated the young people were Mr. and Mrs. William H. Rogers, Mr. and
