Bessette Jr., 39, of Mishnock Road, a truck driver for the Venezia Trucking Co. of Pennsylvania for many years, died Thursday at Kent County Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Jo-Ann (Watt) Bessette. Born in Providence, he was a son of Joseph F. and Gladys E. (Morin) Bessette of West Greenwich, with whom he lived. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Besides his parents he leaves a son, David A. Bessette of West Greenwich; a daughter, Billy-Jo Bessette of West Greenwich; a brother, John A. Bessette of Johnston; two sisters, Elizabeth A. Bessette of Providence and Jane M. Bessette of West Greenwich; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
