Abraham Hatfield
Abraham Hatfield, Esq., a prominent citizen of Massena Springs, and the proprietor of the Hatfield House at that place, died Thursday morning, December 24th, aged seventy-two years. Mr. Hatfield came to Massena Springs form New York, a few years since, for the good of his health, and received so much benefit that he decided to make his future home there. He purchased property and built the Hatfield House which was a credit to his enterprise and liberality and which will remain a monument to his memory. He was a gentleman of sagacity and ability. He had served on the Board of Aldermen, while a resident of New York city, and hand many friends at Massena.
