Courtney Lydell Bass
Was born in Memphis, TN to Sam Rodgers and Charlene Owens.
He graduated from Lew Wallace High School and Merrillville Beauty College. Courtney worked at Bob Evans as a cook, He later worked at UPS, FedEx, and Finally the USPS where he retired after 27years of service.
Courtney loved taking care of his pet Eboni, riding motorcycles, Chicago life and breeding fish for sale at All Pet Supplies and volunteering and growing blueberries at Merrillville Farms.
Courtney departed this life on July 31, 2022. Cherishing his memory are his loving brothers, Darryl (Vanessa) Bass, Samuel Rodgers, Vernon (Demetrie) Rogers; sister, Kimalynn L. (Nakia) Chinn, Sr., nieces, Darrica (Morris) Moore and Renicsha Wadley, nephews, Jordan Bass, Nakia Chinn Jr. and Niklas K. Chinn and 1 great nephew Ashton.
He joins in glory his loving mother Charlene M. Owens, father Sam Rogers Sr., grandparents John and Neely Bass, Siblings, Taurus, Melissa, Mable, and Diane. His Earthly Legacy includes one aunt, Mattie (John) Kimbrough.
