Betty Lee (Murray) Bassett
Betty Lee (Murray) Bassett was born on December 4, 1935, in Madera, CA, and passed away at the age of 68 on Tuesday, November 30, 2004, in Albuquerque, NM, where she resided the past 19 years. She grew up in Madera and Fresno, CA, and graduated from Fresno High School in 1953. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Peter S., Sr. and Mary Murray; sister, Jean Webster; and brother, Peter S. Murray, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, William R. Bassett; daughter, Julie Cordova of Albuquerque; sons Jeffrey and his wife Melody of Colorado, and Gregory of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Michelle McCune of CA; sister, Evelyn Richardson and her son Eddie; brother, Leland E. Murray of Fresno, CA; and 11 grandchildren. Betty will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Cremation and memorial services were held in Albuquerque on Saturday, December 11, 2004. Remembrances may be made to donor's favorite charities.
