He is a member of the Presbyterian Church and his education included graduate school. Shannon was a bomber pilot in the battle of Midway. He was a pilot for Pan American Airlines and a heavy construction engineer. He was very devoted to his wife, Mary. A memorial service will held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 1999 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive.
