He was a veteran of World War II, who served in the U.S. Navy. Member of the American Legion in Northbridge, MA, member of VFW in Millbury, MA, member of Inverness Moose Lodge 212 and United Commercial Travelers in Worcester, MA. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Claire D. (Bassett) Lapierre of Citrus Hills; two sons Richard Lapierre and his wife, Karen of Oxford, MA, and Robert Lapierre of Citrus Hills; a daughter, Suzanne Haganey and her husband, James of Hernando; two brothers, Robert Lapierre of Bushnell and Paul Lapierre and his wife Mary Ellen, of Spencer, MA; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
