- John Milson Bassett
John M. Bassett, 56, of Medina, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at V.A. Northern Indiana Health Care in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born in Wheeling, W. Va., and was a Medina County resident for seven years. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Mr. Bassett was a realtor for Coldwell Banker Hunter Realty. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Bassett of Atlanta, Ga., and Mark Bassett of Medina; mother, Wana May Schank of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Larry and Lindsey Ross and Anna and Abigail Bassett; sisters, Holly Jill Bassett-Cohagan of Clovis, Calif., and Laurel A. Bassett-Kunst of Fort wayne; and three nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Bassett Sr.
Service: 8 p.m. Saturday at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. The Rev. Daniel Haberkost will officiate.
Visiting hours: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
