Bassett, 96, of Vacaville will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Community United Methodist Church, Fairfield. Pastor David Bunje will preside. Interment will be private. Mrs. Bassett died July 15, 2002 in Vacaville following a short illness. Born Jan. 25, 1906, in Lewisville, Texas, she resided in Vacaville since 1963. She was a homemaker for 67 years. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church. While living in Leisure Town, she was active in ceramics, weaving and the Women's Club. In 1989, she moved to Leisure Gardens and lived there for more than 10 years. She was active in arts and crafts and organized a crochet group that made afghans for hospitals in the area. Mrs. Bassett is survived by her daughter, Alta of Woodland and three nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry in 1990. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity. Arrangements were handled by McCune Garden Chapel.
