Katherine Kindrick Bassett
Katherine Kindrick Bassett, age 80, of Monticello, Kentucky passed away
Wednesday, December 22, 1999 at her home.
She was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on February 2, 1919, the daughter of
William “Woodward” Kindrick and Lillian Curd Kindrick. Both parents preceded
her in death.
She married David H. Bassett, Sr. who preceded her in death.
She is survived by 2 children David H. “Hank” Bassett Jr. of Monticello,
Kentucky and Billie Kekuewa of Hawaii; 1 brother James Kindrick of Mt. Vernon,
Texas; and 2 grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is a brother William “Bill” Kindrick; and 2 sisters
Virginia Rankin and Eloise K. Carr.
She was a member of Monticello First Christian Church. She was a past member
of the Monticello Women’s Club and a director for 30 years of the American
Contract Bridge League, Monticello, Kentucky.
Memorial services were held Monday, December 27, 1999 at 4 p.m. in the funeral
home chapel with Brother Harlan Ogle officiating.
