      Betty F. Snoddy

      ROGERSVILLE ? Betty Faye Bass Snoddy, born in Signal Mountain, Tennessee, 74, passed away Dec. 25, 2017. Her family moved to Alabama in the late 1950s where she worked at A and P and met the love of her life, David Snoddy, and were married for 54 years. She moved to Rogersville in 1969 where she lived for 48 years employed by Rogersville Manufacturing for 20 years, and then retired from Barnett Drugs after 18 years. She was loved by many families which included family, church family, and friends. She was an active member of the Rogersville United Methodist Church where she volunteered and was actively involved with the Fish and Loaves Food Pantry. She also attended and volunteered at the Rogersville Senior Center on a regular basis. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters fishing, playing games, watching Alabama football, and the Atlanta Braves.

      Mrs. Snoddy's visitation will be held at Rogersville United Methodist Church on Friday, Dec. 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral service immediately following. Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery. Brother Robert Lancaster will be officiating. Pallbearers are Pat Ingrum, Jeff Ingrum, Terry Ingrum, Phillip Alexander, Jeremy Ritter, Justin Ritter, Van Holland, Heath Holdbrooks. Honorary is Bryan Butler.

      She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Marshall Bass; mother, Chloe Hall Bass; brothers, Robert Bass, Ed Bass, Frank Bass, and Dale Bass; and sister, Timothy Bass Hillis.

      She is survived by her husband, David F. Snoddy; daughter, Pam Snoddy Phillips; granddaughters, Abby, Ashley, Madison, and Morgan Phillips; sisters, Bonnie Boston, Jayne Scott, Martha Reed, and Mildred Bonham; sisters-in-law, Shirley Smith, Doris Bates, Sara Alexander, and Francis Ingrum; and brothers-in-law, Clyde Snoddy, Robert Smith, and Nathan Bates.

      The family would like to thank Dr. David Brown, Dr. Patel, Dr. Clark, Dr. Morris and Amedisys Home Health Care employees, Kayla Rose, Elaine Thompson, April Harris, Keith Jones and Stephen Darby for taking such good care of her over the past six months. The family would also like to thank family and friends for all their love, support, and prayers during her illness. A special thanks to Brother Robert for all his visits, prayers, and support.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity or the Fish and Loaves Food Pantry of the Rogersville United Methodist Church.
