Mrs. Bassett, 75, Resident Since 1901, Succumbs
Mrs. Glenna Anna Bassett, 75, a Lewiston resident since 1901, died at 1 a.m. yesterday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Rollo (Vera) Biggons, Tooele, Utah, where she had been visiting. Death was due to a sudden virus infection. Her home was at 1502 10th Ave.
Mrs. Bassett was the widow of Clark F. Bassett, a Lewiston mail carrier who died Sept. 9, 1917.
She was born Feb. 20, 1889, at Lostine, Ore., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkyn. Her father was a sawmill operator.
She resided at Lostine until 1901, when she moved to Lewiston, She was married at Lewiston Dec. 12, 1908, to Bassett. Mrs. Bassett was a member of the Lewiston First Methodist Church.
In addition to her sister at Tooele, she is survived by another sisters, Mrs. N.H. Rhodes, Hatwai.
The funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Brower-Wann Chapel, with the Rev. Bruce Groseclose, pastor of the First Methodist Church, as officiant. Burial will be at Normal Hill Cemetery.
