Bassett, 92, died Friday, Aug. 12, 1994, in Maple Crest Manor Care Center, Fayette, after a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Arlington United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Laurie L. Riley. Burial: Cass Township Cemetery, Strawberry Point. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral home, Arlington, and one hour before service time Monday at the church. Survivors include a son, Robert of Arlington; a brother, Glenn Burington of Fayette; and four sisters, Ava Waterman of Guttenber Bertha Streicher of Strawberry Point, Vella Gust of Arlington and Vida Llweleyn of Cypress, Calif. Also surviving are seven grandchildren a great-grandchildren.
