She was born Jan. 3, 1920 in Jefferson Twp., the daughter of Ernest and Flossie (Rauh) Bahls. on April 11, 1943, she married Dale Bassett. Survivors include the husband; the parents of South Milford; three children, David, Fort Wayne, Thomas and Sue, Kendallville; one sister, Mrs. Roy (Beatrice) Nichols, South Milford; one brother, Donald, R.1; and one grandchild. Services will be Saturday in St. John's Lutheran Church of which she was a member. Burial, Lake View Cemetery.
