  Notes	The Hartford Courant, Connecticut, Friday, September 12, 1997 Rosamond Bassett; Lives in Essex Rosamond Davol Bassett of Essex died Sunday at Essex Meadows, Essex. Mrs. Bassett graduated from Rogers Hall School in 1925 and taught ballroom dancing in Taunton and at House in the Pines School, Norton, Mass. She was active in many local charities and served on the boards of the Taunton Visiting Nurse Association, Morton Hospital and the Old Ladies Home. She was a lifelong member of the First Parish Church of Taunton. During World War II, she served as a lieutenant in the Red Cross Motor Corps. Mrs. Bassett earned many championship trophies in golf and bowling. She is survived by four children, Cynthia B. Polhemus of Sagaponack, N.Y., Charles W.D. Bassett of Acton, Mass., Diana B. Perrob of Branford and Frances J. Bassett of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be private. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 08492, or to the Essex Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 233, Ivoryton, CT 06442. The Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St., Centerbrook, is in charge of arrangements.
