Pierce Funeral Tomorrow
Funeral services for Miss Mary Pierce, who died Sunday night at the Rockford Hospital, will be held from the home of her sister, Mrs. Lillian Atwood, 329 London Avenue, Highand, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o?clock and will be private. Rev. C. W. Wilcox of the Epworth M.E. Church of which she has been a member for twenty-five years, will officiate. Interment will be at the Cedar Bluff Cemetery.
Mrs. Etta Pierce was born at Spring, Boone County, Ill., March 21, 1861, and has lived in Rockford for the past thirty years. For twenty-five years she has been housekeeper for Mrs. James G. Bregory, 510 South Second Street. A week ago she was taken ill with pneumonia and grew rapidly worse, death overtaking her Sunday evening at 10:30 o?clock. Her father died thirty-seven years ago. She is survived by six sisters and three brothers aside from her mother, Mrs. Perris Bassett. They are Mrs. Ella Vincent, Rockford; Mrs. Mary Fox, Mrs. Lillian Atwood, Mrs. Laura Rice of Rockford; Mrs. Imogene Bunker, Wisconsin; Frank C. Pierce and Alonzo Bassett of Rockford; Herbert E. Bassett of Montana.
