BASSETT, ELAINE M., former co-owner of the Country Inn in Warren, died August 1, 2012 at St. Ann's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Dennis W. Bassett. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Edna (Chappelle) Johnson. She lived in Rehoboth for 19 years, previously living in Warwick. Elaine and her husband were co-owners of the Country Inn until 2000. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Denise and Joe Motta of Rehoboth, her son and daughter-in-law William D. and Elizabeth (LaRoche) Bassett of Riverside. She was the grandmother of Shane Donahue and Gabrielle Motta both of Rehoboth and Bethany Bassett of Riverside. She was the sister of Irene Mullen of Warwick and James Johnson of NH. She was the mother of the late Brenda Ann Bassett and sister of the late Thomas Johnson and Kenneth Johnson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday at 10:30 AM at the Swan Point Cemetery Chapel; 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence, RI. Inurnment will be private.
