He was a native of Jacksonville, and a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Annabelle Hitt; two sons, Robert Lee and Kenneth Paul Bass Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Martin, Mrs. Elizabeth Stinson and Mrs. Juanita Schaeffer; three brothers, Raymond E., George L. and James E. Bass.
