Page 38, sheet 16A, ED 40-16, taken on 14 April 1930. BIOGRAPHY: Lived in the Banning, CA area during the 1950-60's, where Frank was a store manager for JC Penny. They took care of her mother, Estella F. Bassett, for the last years of her life. After Frank's retirement they moved to the small hamlet of Applegate in the Sierra foothills of Placer Co., CA. In 1995 they moved to Arizona City, AZ, along with daughter Yvonne and family, where Frank passed away. In 2005 "Max" moved to Acton CA to live with her daughter Diane. BIOGRAPHY: In a talk with Ronald Bassett, her nephew, Max related that she and Frank visited Iowa in 1953, when she last saw her grandmother Mary Alice Bowling, and aunt "Gail". Mary Alice died in March 1953. She also remembers spending time as a child with her great grandmother Lucy Angeline Millsap Bowling. (May 2005) BURIAL: Cremated, buried with husband on Monday, 5 Dec 2005. Daughters, g-grandson Jeremy Hannon, and nephew Ronald Bassett (compiler of this record) attended short gravesite service.. BURIAL: E-mail to Ron Bassett on 20 Oct 2005 from Yvonne, Maxine's daughter: Diane called about 1:30 this am and said the nursing home had just called and Mother is gone. She wasn't good last Fri when I got there, a little better on Sat and much more so on Sunday. Monday she was back to not good at all but they sent her back to the nursing home on Tues as she had been there over a week. She died in her sleep which is what she wanted.
