Obituary for Mrs. Betty Bassett Little
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Bassett Little, 81, of Henderson, are scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Gillespie officiating. Burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Little passed away at her residence November 3, 2013. She was born November 30, 1931 in the Millville Community to Curtis James and Lessie Blount Bassett. Betty was a graduate of Henderson High School and Kilgore College. She was employed in insurance agencies and at Henderson Boral Brick for over 20 years. She was a member of Millville Baptist Church and later became a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis James Bassett; husband, William E. Little; and sister, Helen Owens Yearwood.
She is survived by two sisters, Mozelle Bassett Garrison of Longview, and Billie Margaret Reeves of Royce City. She is also survived by a nephew, Bassett Owens of Dallas; three nieces, Beverly So Relle of Lubbock, Gwendolyn Tomlin of Longview, and Renee Meadors of Rockwall; three great nieces, Emily So Relle, of Lubbock, Sarah Wright of Cypress, and Allison Meadors of Rockwall; one great-great nephew, Garrett Wright; and great-great niece, Grace Wright of Cypress.
Pallbearers will be Mack Bassett, Don Bassett, Steve Bassett, Bobby Bassett, Blake Ballenger and Freddie Polk.
