Priscilla Johnson
EXETER - Priscilla Alden Williams Johnson, 100, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001,
at Eventide Home, where she had resided for 10 years.
She was born Nov. 13, 1900, in Londonderry, the daughter of Lester E. a
Ellen (Bassett) Williams and resided in Exeter most of her life.
She was a 1920 graduate of Robinson Remale Seminary and a 1924 graduate of the
University of New Hampshire.
Mrs. Williams taught Latin and mathematics at Robinson Female Seminary and
Exeter High School for more than 20 years where she also served as an advisor
to the Honor Society. Before her marriage she taught school in Oxford, Mass.
She was an active member of the Friday Club, the Unitarian Church of Exeter
and several other organizations.
The widow of Carl E. Johnson, she is survived by one son, Carl Johnson Jr. of
Berlin, Md.; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces,
nephews, grand- and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Brewitt Funeral Home,
14 Pine St., Exeter. Burial will follow in Exeter Cemetery.
