George Bass
George T. Bass, 66, died at p.m. yesterday at his home at 3021 E. Brook Drive.
Mr. Bass, a World War II veteran, was retired as supervisor for Station B. for the Postal Service.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114, Disabled American Veterans, and the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his wife, Violet; a daughter, Phyllis Bass Carroll of Mount Vernon, Indiana; sons Terry of Chandler and Tom of Evansville; sisters, Leona Yeckering of Evansville and Lois Broshers of Boonville; brothers, Clifton and James Bass, both of Evansville, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, with the Reverend J. Cory Mills officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery, where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
Friends may call from noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
The family said friends, if they wish, may make memorial contributions to the Diabetic Association and the American Heart Fund.
