Bassett ASHEVILLE - Katherine Juanita Swanger Bassett, 66, of 194 Deaver St., died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at Mountain Area Hospice. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Holbert and Eva Swanger and wife of the late Robert Owen Bassett. Surviving are her daughter, Nanette Ewart and husband, Mike, of Asheville sons, Jeffery Bassett, Robert Bassett and David Bassett, all of Asheville and brother, James Swanger of Hickory. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Waldrup officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery.
