Virginia C. Johnson, 92
Virginia C. Johnson, 92, of Fowler, passed away July 4, 2016, at IU Hospital in Lafayette. She was born in Morocco, Indiana in 1924 to Ralph and Effie Bassett. She was married for several years to Robert Johnson of Fowler while raising her two daughters, Donna and Debbie. During that time they lived on a farm near Fowler where Virginia was a homemaker, loving mother and farmer's wife.
Later she moved into Fowler and operated a gift shop by the name of The Lemon Tree. She enjoyed working in the yard with her flowers, cooking, oil painting and sewing. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, regular card parties with friends, and going out to dinner on Wednesday night.
Surviving are her daughters, Donna Hamilton (Doug) of Brookston and Debbie Burling (Dean) of Fowler. Also surviving are grandchildren Kevin and Brad Hamilton, Tim, Tony and Dan Muey. Also 8 great grandchildren and her Best Friend, Ron Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild, Ricki Hamilton.
Visitation will be at Windler Funeral Home in Fowler, Friday July 8 at
11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Funeral Service at 1:00PM. Burial will be at Fowler Cemetery.
