Vern Wray Christy, 85, of Moulton, died Sept. 12, 2004, at the Davis County Hospital, Bloomfield. He was born Aug. 21, 1919 to Wray and Floy I. Richardson Christy in Bloomfield. He married Raamah Galbraith July 4, 1946. She preceded him in death. He married Madeline Bassett, July 14, 1983 in Kirksville, Mo. He had been a Safety Specialist for the Sands National Lab, Albuquerque, NM. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II with the 563 Engineers Battalion. He was affiliated with the Moulton Christian Church. Survivors include his wife; two sons, David of Albuquerque, NM and Stephan of Edgewood, NM; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife; his parents; and sister, Margaret Rogers. Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday at Henkenius-Priester Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Richard Friend officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. today (Tuesday) at the funeral home with the family present from 7:30 till 8:30 p.m. A memorial has been established in his name to the Moulton Christian Church.
