HORRID MURDER. An old, and inoffensive man by the name of Isaac Sowell, was inhumanly killed in this city on Saturday evening last, by George Bassett, on account of some slight difference in regard to the recent election. Bassett fled immediately and has not yet been arrested.

288-289. In Macon, Bibb County, on the evening of the 11th inst. George Bassett murdered Isaac Sewall. Issued 13 November 1848. Bassett is about 25 years old, stout built, 5 feet 10 inches, blue eyes, and dark hair.
