Mr. and Mrs. O.H. Bassett Sr. celebrated their silver wedding Friday,
Sept.1, it being the anniversary of their wedding Sept. 1, 1880. It w
family reunion, the relations of Mr. and Mrs. Bassett being present; also a
great many of their friends of twenty-five years ago. A pleasant evening was
passed, music, singing and stories of Galveston of twenty-five years ago and
the happenings of today were related. Refreshments were served during t
evening and their friends wished them a happy journey through the next twenty-
five years to their golden wedding. They also received many handsome and
useful presents of silverware.
