Eddie W. Bass
Eddie W. Bass, 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior July 28, 2004. Known to all of his family and friends as "Papa," he was president and founder of Bass Masonry, Inc., but his real job was touching lives for Jesus. Countless lives have been changed and enriched by his ministry. From the young lives at Juvenile Boot Camp, to those at the end of their life at nursing homes, from the largest churches, to the streets and parking lots, Papa Bass tirelessly spread the love of God.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Bass; children, Steven, Sandra, Jay, Sylvia, and Judy, Cassie, Jacob, Aaron, and Dayton; daughter-in-law, Wendy Bass; brother, Robert Earl Bass; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and close friends.
He will always be remembered for his marvelous singing voice, his generosity, and his love for his family. "Yeah Buddy!"
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Sun City Center Christian Center, 17566 Hwy. 301 S., Wimauma.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Lighthouse Full Gospel Center in Parrish. Interment will follow at Ruskin Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may make memorial contributions to Hospice of S. W. Florida.
