Mark Slagoski (Picture included)
Mark A. Slagoski, 62, Hatley, died Friday, November 20, 2015 at his home.
He was born on February 25, 1953 in Milwaukee, the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Walkowski) Slagoski.
On September 19, 2008, Mark was united in marriage to Patricia (Bessette) Schertz in Wausau. She preceded him in death on October 23, 2013.
Mark worked as a self-contractor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, shooting pool, throwing darts and snowmobiling but he really loved spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Shane Slagoski, Chippewa Falls and George Schertz, Wausau; one daughter, Brenda (Tom) Hoover, Stevens Point; four grandchildren, Samson Schertz and Holly, Thomas and Jacob Hoover; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Puder; one brother, Kurt (Debbie) Slagoski, Bevent and two sisters, Lori (Rodney) Cherek, Madison and Cheryl (Donald) Moore, Bevent. Mark is also survived by Shane's mother, Karen Tekippe; his life-long friend, David "Butch" Nemke and other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Sister Mary Ellen Diermeier will officiate. Inurnment will take place in St. Francis Cemetery, town of Norrie. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30am until the time of services at the funeral home.
