He was born in Republic county near Concordia September 26, 1878. Survivors include his widow, Florence, of the home, and three children, Roy Bassett of the home, Milford Bassett of 213 Terra Dr. and Floyd Bassett of Manhattan, one sister, Mary Edith Ball of Hartman, Colo.; and one brother, Winton of Hillsboro, Ore. and three grandchildren. Two children preceded him in death.
