He lived in White Pine County for 30 years working as an over the road truck driver having worked for WS Hatch, Steere Trucking, Petrosource Transportation, Norcross Trucking, and Turner Gas. He married Theodora Patras August 3, 1980 in Elko, Nevada. He enjoyed wood working and fishing. He is survived by Theodora Bassett of Ely, Nevada. Step-son Nick (Gladine) Patras of Ely, Nevada. Sister Kathy Loghry of Twin Falls, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother Cora Bassett. At Floyd's request there will be no services.
