Woonsocket ? Laurette I. Bessette
LAURETTE I. BESSETTE, 67, of 5 Swift St., Blackstone, Mass., a former medical secretary, died Tuesday at home. She was the wife of Charles E. Bessette.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Albert A. and Rose J. (Caron) Lariviere.
Mrs. Bessette did clerical work for the United Restaurant Co. in North Smithfield for four years, retiring in 1994. She was a medical secretary for Dr. Thomas Lalor from 1986 to 1994. She was a dental assistant for Dr. Arthos Canestrari for 9 years and Dr. Vazina, both of Woonsocket, for 18 years.
Mrs. Bessette was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne at St. Theresa's Church in Blackstone.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Maurice Bessette of Billerica, Mass.; two daughters, Suzanne Guilbert and Christine Laverdiere, both of Woonsocket; a sister, Annette Hall of Cumberland; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Theresa's Church, Rathburn Street, Blackstone. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, South Bellingham, Mass.
