Albert Hoot Bass
Services will be conducted at Centuries Funeral Home Chapel for Albert H. Bass, age 76, of Shreveport, LA, on Sunday, January 2, 2005 at 2 p.m. Officiating the service will be Rev. Billy Franks and Rev. Shirley Weaver. Interment to follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 11 a.m. to service time.
Mr. Bass entered into rest on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at Willis-Nighton North Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was a life-long resident of Louisiana and a retired Senior Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Army with 20 eyars of service. He served his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Dorothy Bass; three daughters, Jane Sharbono and husband Charles of Shreveport, LA, Paula Bazer and husband Jon of Haughton, LA, Lisa McKenzie and husband Philip of Bossier City, LA; four sons, James Bass of Tokyo, Japan, Bo Nugent and wife Stacy of Coushatta, LA, John Albert Bass and Jamie Andrew Bass, both of Shreveport, LA, one sister, Juanita Shumaker of Salem, OR; one brother, John Bass Welborn and wife Ruby of Abbeville, LA; four grandchildren, Leah, Clifford, Kyle, Cole and one great-grandchild, Kaden.
