Jacqueline E. "Jackie" Bassett, 82, of Fern Terrace Lodge, Owensboro, formerly of 9627 Kelly Cemetery Road, Maceo, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1995, at Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital. She was born in Daviess County; retired from General Electric Co. as a group leader; and was a member of Maceo United Methodist Church, Golden Years Club of Maceo and the Senior Citizens Center. She had taughter Sunday school at the church and had been a volunteer at the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art. Her husband, Orville Bassett, died in 1976.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Whitworh of Maceo; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Maceo United Methodist Church. Burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home, and from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Maceo United Methodist Church Building Fund, c/o Dorothy Moser, 8400 Kentucky 405, Lot 43, Maceo, Ky. 42355. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.
