Claire Bessette Is Bride Today
EASTHAMPTON ? Miss Claire L. Bessette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rene J. Bessette of 6 Searle Ave. will become the bride of William R. Kelmel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fredolin Kelmel of 388 Pleasnt St., Holyoke at 9 a.m. ceremony this morning at Notre Dame Church. Rev. Leon Fontaine will perform the double-ring service, for which the bride will be given in marriage by her father. Mrs. Emile Lussier will be the organist and Paul Gelinas will be soloist.
Mrs. Claude Lepine will serve her sister as matron of honor and Miss Jeannine Bessette, another sisters of the bride will be bridesmaid along with Miss Julianne Killian of Holyoke. The bride?s cousin, Miss Suzanne Gelinas, will be a junior bridesmaid.
The best man will be Claude Lepine, brother-in-law of the bride. Two friends of the bridegroom will serve as ushers. They are Michael Mocarski of Holyoke and Eugene Sullivan, also of Holyoke.
The church will be decorated with an assortment of pompons in fall colors. Following the church ceremony, a wedding reception will be ehld at the Franco-American hall for approximately 150 guests. The couple will then leave for a wedding trip, motoring across the country. They will reside in Seattle, Washington. The bride is a graduate of the Notre Dame School, Easthampton High School and the Providence Hospital where she is employed as a staff nurse. The bridegroom is a graduate of Holyoke High Sch9ool and he was employed by the Friendly Ice Cream Co. before joining the service. He is currently in the Army, serving at Ft. Lawton, Seattle, Washington.
