JOHN BASSETT After a lengthy illness, borne with Christian courage, there passed away last night Eliza Emery, beloved wife of John Bassett, Geneva Terrace. She was 72 years of age. By many old-time neighbors in Merritton, she will be well remembered, having resided there for many years. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. John Elliott, Mrs. Thos J. Holden and Miss Ida May of this city, two sons, John, of St. Catharines and Frank of Merritton. To them all will go out a great measure of sympathy.
