Mrs. Chesley Anderson of Pine street, died on Friday night. Early in the week she was prostrated with an attack of laryngitis, which later developed into pneumonia. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and during her last moments she knew and recognized her pastor. Ida Hill Marse, wife of Mr. Chesley Anderson, was born in Nash County, North Carolina, Sept. 4, 1864. As a bright, attractive school girl, she won the affections of Mr. Thomas Clifford Bassett of North Carolina, and was married to him on March 5th, 1880. Of this union four children survive: Thomas Clifford Bassett, William Mense Bassett, Miss Claude Lucille Bassett, Miss Alice Marion Bassett.
Funeral services were held at the residence of Mr. Anderson this afternoon.
