John L. Bass
MYRTLE BEACH | John Larry Bass, 59, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Bass was the manager of Captain's Quarters Motel. He loved boating and was a certified boat captain. Mr. Bass was a U.S. veteran.
Surviving Mr. Bass are his mother, Marjorie Bass of Lumberton, N.C.; sons, Jonathan Bass (Stacey) of Columbia and Michael Bass of Myrtle Beach; daughter, Gretchen Bass of Raleigh, N.C.; sister, Paula Bass Massey (Bernard) of Conway; and granddaughter, Lauren Wheeler.
His father, Bobby Paul Bass; and a sister, Barbara Bass Luther Campbell, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Bloomingdale Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mike Pittman officiating. Burial will be in John Rhodes Farm Cemetery, Fairmont, N.C.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2007 at the home of his sister, Paula Massy, 404 Crescent Drive of Conway.
