Henry Joedeman
September 29, 1928 - July 27, 2014
AURORA, NE Henry Joedeman, age 85, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014, at the Ambassador of Lincoln Nebraska. He never recovered from his surgery from a fall and head trauma. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 31st, at Gandy Community Bible Church in Gandy, Nebraska. Rev. Brian Pielstick and Rev. Frank Scott will officiate. Interment will be at McCain Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 1:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Arnold & Mullen Funeral Home in Arnold, Nebraska. Henry Joedeman was born 85 years ago to William and Fern Thomlinson Joedeman. He graduated from high school in Gandy, Nebraska. He later went to Pacific Coast Bible College. He served 13 years in the Army and Air Force combined. He worked as a mechanic and owned his own shop. He pastored Churches in Gandy, Nebraska, Sedona, Arizona, Chula Vista, California, Cushing, Oklahoma, and Central City, Nebraska. He married Maxine Bassett September 9, 1950 in Arnold, Nebraska. They were married for 43 years, and had 3 children, Diane, Mark, and Mike. Maxine passed away in March of 1993. In August of 1993 Henry married Joyce Roberts in Central City, Nebraska. They were married for 20 years when Joyce passed away November 17, 2013. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, William and Fern Joedeman, his sisters, Florence, Murene, and Lila, and granddaughter, RebekahJoedeman. Those that are left to cherish the memory are his children and their spouses, Diane and Bill Ward, Mark and Deanna Joedeman, and Mike and Elizabeth Joedeman, his step-children and their spouses, Lee Michael and Renee Roberts, Larry and Lois Roberts, Patrick and Helen Roberts, and Jane Webb, his 9 grandchildren, and 10 step-grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren.
