Jeanette A. (Lenville) Bassette
Jeannette A. Bassette 1918-2010 WEST SPRINGFIELD - Jeannette A. (Lenville) Bassette, 91, of West Spring-field, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Holyoke Medical Center. Born in West Springfield, a daughter of the late Arthur H. and Eva M. (Bouchard) Lenville, she was a lifelong resident here. Jeannette was the beloved wife of the late Harry E. Bassette who passed away in 2005. She was an Inspector for several years at the former Breck Shampoo and was a former communicant of St. Louis De France Church and a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield. Jeanette is survived by her two sons, Harry A. Bassette and his wife, Sandra, of Holyoke and Gerald C. Bassette and his wife, Theresa, of Fruitland Park, FL; her daughter, Susan E. Cootware and her husband, Duane of Quechee, VT; two sisters, Jean Alajanian of Agawam and Eula C. Byrnes of Ware; 8 grandchildren, Renee Lamothe-Rafuse and her husband, Joseph, Laurie, Julie, Sheri, Kristi, Ryan, Aaron, and Lisa; 12 great-grandchildren including Abigail and Hunter Rafuse; and one great-great Grandchild. Jeannette is also survived by several nieces and nephews. All services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holyoke Medical Center, Development Office, Oncology, 20 Hospital Dr., Holyoke, MA 01040. Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
