  Notes	Baraboo News-Republican, February 15, 1974 Hollis P. Bassett Hollis P. Bassett, 83, Baraboo, passed away Wednesday evening (January 13, 1974) at Jefferson Meadows Nursing Home. Mr. Bassett was born in the Town of Sumpter on July 25, 1890 and had been a resident of the Baraboo area all of his life. He had been employed by Welch?s Plumbing and several other firms in Baraboo. He was a veteran of WW I, a member of the American Legion, the 40 et 8 and the Eagles. He is surviv3ed by one sister, Mrs. Bevelyn Holmes, Baraboo; several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be this evening at 7:30 at the Redlin-Scheible Funeral Home with Rev. H.W. Singer officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning of 4:00 today until the time of services this evening.
