Bass-Dent Vows Said
ROWLAND ? Miss Sara Grace Dent, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ewen N. Dent, and Pfc. Jimmy Marshall Bass, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Gilford Bass of Fairmont, were married April 16, at the Raynham Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lamar L. Hardwicke officiating.
Music was presented by Miss Helen Rose Britt, pianist, and Lindsey Gaines, soloist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a street-length dressof white nylon over taffeta. Her shoulder-length veil was attached to a crown of white daisies. She carried a white Bible topped with a purple-throated white orchid.
Miss Martha Raye Dent, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She woare a street-length dress of pink lace anc carried a bouquet of pink carnation.
The bridegroom?s brother Joe Gilford Bass, was best man, ushers were David Earl Dent, brother of the bride, and Maurice Strickland.
The bride is a graduate of Rowland High School. The bridegroom attended Evergreen High School. He is to be stationed overseas with the U.S. Army.
