Mrs. Person Passes Away at Bangor
Worthy Resident Expires Following Protracted Illness, aged 60 years Funeral
Service to be at Barre, VT Friday.
Mrs. M. G. Person, widow of the late Milton Person, died at 10 o'clock
Wednesday morning at her home in Bangor, aged 60 years. She had been in
declining health for the past three years and had failed more rapidly in
recent weeks. She was bereaved by the death of her husband, Milton Person, who
passed away only a few months ago.
Mrs. Person was born in Bangor and lived there the greater part of her life.
Her maiden name was Catherine Mott, her parents being among the pioneer
families of that town. She was twice married. Her first husband died ma
years ago. Following her first marriage her home was in Barre, VT for a
number of years, later returning to Bangor. She was united in marriage with
Milton Person, of Bangor, about 4 years ago.
She was greatly esteemed in the community and her many friends are deep
grieved because of her passing. Her kindness of heart and thoughtfulness for
others were qualities which endeared her to all. She was affiliated with the
Holiness Movement Church at Brandon Center.
She leaves surviving two sisters, Mrs. Clark Thomas, of Brandon, who has been
caring for her during her illness, and who is now also seriously ill. T
other sister, Mrs. Partridge, resides at Barre, Vermont. There are several
nieces and nephews.
A prayer service was held at the home in Bangor last evening, Rev Percy
Bennett officiating. The body will be taken to Barre, Vermont, where the
funeral service will be held Friday from the home of the late sister, Mrs.
Partridge. The interment will be at Barre.

North Bangor - There passed away at her home, Bangor on Wednesday morning, Jan
2, Miss Katherine Person in her sixtieth year. Deceased was born at Nor
Bangor and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mott.
Mrs. Person was twice married, First to Burton Bassett of Barre, VT in 1894,
who predeceased her some ten years ago, and in 1930 she married Milton Person,
who passed away early in December last.
A great sufferer for about two years with rheumatic affection and later
blindness, complications set in which caused her death. Possessed of a
beautiful Christian character; always optimistic against great physical
afflictions; deeply grateful for any and every service rendered; a model
patient, and a woman of the highest Christian ideals. One could scarcely visit
her without feeling and being better for it. She had always lived an exemplary
life and joined the Holiness Movement Church about five years ago.
Her pastor Rev ?? Bennet held a brief service at the home, none but immediate
relatives being present on account of the critical condition of the sister
Mrs. Clark Thomas, who has so faithfully and devotedly cared for and nursed
the deceased. Interment was made at Barre, VT, her former home.
With Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Harvey Partridge of Barre, VT, and a number of nephews
and niece survive. A brother and sister predeceased Mrs. Person several years
ago.
