May 19, 2019 Chadbourn: Dorothy Bass Green, 94 of Chadbourn died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, S. C. She was the daughter of the late Richard Dick Bass and Edith Gore Bass and was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Litchfield Green, Sr. She was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Whiteville. She was a loving homemaker to the complete Green Family. Survivors include two sons, Richard D. Green, Sr. (Zelda W.) of Cerro Gordo, N.C. and David I. Green, Sr. (Kelly P.) of Chadbourn, N.C., Six grandchildren, David I. Green, Jr. (Jessica), Richard D. Green, Jr., Amanda F. Green, Kaleb D. Green, Ira E. Green, Adrienne S. Green , three Great-Grandchildren and 2 Nieces and 1 Nephew. Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeff Stocks officiating. Burial will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May, 22, 2019 at McKenzie Mortuary from 6-8 p.m.
