Mrs. Ona Parker Bass

Fairmont, April 20 ? On Thursday morning, April 19th, the spirit of Mrs. Ona Parker Bass passed to her reward. She leaves a husband, Mr. Thurman Bass, four small children, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Parker of near Fairmont. For about five years they had been living in Columbus county, near Chadbourn, at which place she died. She was buried on Friday morning in the family burying ground of her father, Benjamin Parker. The burial services were conducted by Rev. J.R. Miller. She was a consistent member of the Baptist church, and in her short life of 32 years had witnessed faithfully for her Master.
