Alice Elizabeth (Edwards) Bassett
Alice Elizabeth (Edwards) Bassett, 92, Oak Grove Nursing and Rehab, Oak Grove, Missouri, went to be with our Lord on December 13, 2009. She was born in 1917 in Cameron, Missouri, the daughter and one of 9 children to John and Eva Edwards. She was married on March 27, 1936 to Edwin J. Bassett. He preceded her in death, January, 1986. Alice was a loving homemaker, enjoyed her family, cooking and sewing. She was a long time member of Cameron First Christian Church, Cameron, Missouri. She also was preceded in death by a son, Edwin Dale Bassett and a daughter, Margaret Alice Anthony. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carol & Jerry Buchanan, Oak Grove, Missouri; 3 sons and a daughter-in-law, Steve & Jennie Bassett, Kansas City, Missouri; John & Barbara Bassett, Belton, Mssouri; and Jim & Sue Bassett, Athens, Georgia; 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
