  Notes	The South Bend Tribune, Indiana, Wednesday, 26 November 1879 The Marriage of Miss Minnie Bassett and Mr. Alvin C. Rea A quiet wedding occurred Thursday evening, Nov. 20th, at the residence of Rev. J.H. Nevius, in this city, in which the contracting parties were Miss Minnie Bassett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bassett, esq., of Greene township, and Mr. Alvin C. Rea, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Rea, esq., Liberty township. The ceremony was performed at six o?clock, after which they took supper at a restaurant; they then departed for the residence of the bride?s parents. Well, Alvin has been fishing a long time for a little Minnie, but he has now caught the Minnie, and the Bassett too. The couple above mentioned enter upon the new life under the most auspicious circumstances and seem assured of what their many friends wish them a long and happy life.
