Mrs. Robert Bass Passes Away
Died Of Pneumonia At Her Home In Texas Last Thursday
People of Kimball were grieved to learn of the death of Mrs. Robert Bass, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Baird of this city, who passed away at her home in Eastland, Texas, Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Bass had just returned to her home a few weeks prior to her death after a month?s visit here with her parents. She was ill seven days with pneumonia, the cause of her death. Relatives here received word of her illness Tuesday.
The body was taken to Bartlesville, Okla., and funeral services held there Saturday. Interment was made in Park Lawn cemetery there.
Beatrice Baird was born April 4, 1900 at Carroll, Iowa, and departed this life at Eastland, Texas, Thursday, February 28, 1935 at the age of 34 years, 10 months and 24 days. She grew to womanhood in Carroll, Iowa, and graduated from the high school there in 1918 after which she spent on year studying music at the College of the Pacific in Santa Clara, Calif. She attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for 2 ½ years where she was affiliated with the Chi Omega sorority. After leaving college she was employed in the Dix schools for one year as instructor of music. The following year she took a position in Ramona, Oklahoma, where she made the acquaintances of Mr. Bass who was then athletic coach in the same school. She was married to Robert M. Bass December 25, 1925 at the home of her parents in Kimball. For a number of years they resided in Oklahoma later taking up the present residence at Eastland, Texas.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, R.M. Bass; two children, Robert Willis 8, and Loey 4; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Baird; three brothers, Marion W. of Redondo Beach, Calif., A. Lynn and Charles, both of Kimball, other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Robert Bass
Mrs. Robert Bass, 34, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Baird of Kimball, died Feb. 28 at her home in Eastland, Tex. She was married to Mr. Bass, former coach at the Kimball schools, Dec. 25, 1925, in the home of her parents. Two children, Robert Willis and Loey, and three brothers, Marion W. of Redondo Beach, Calif., A. Lynn and Charles of Kimball, survived, in addition to her parents and husband.
