Born in Pleasant Lake, she formerly lived in Zephyrhills, Fla., and was a retired store clerk. Surviving are a son, Gerald E. Bassett of Angola; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ancel E. Bassett, in 1968, and second husband, John H. Smith, in 1989. Services at 2 p.m. Thursday at Big Lake Church of God, Columbia City. Calling an hour before servcies. Burial in Circle Cemetery, Hudson. Memorials to church.
