Bassett, who died Sunday at her home in Hartford of a complication of diseases was held yesterday at Olpe. Mrs. Bassett was one of the early settlers of Lyon County. She came here in 1857 and lived for many years at Olpe. She lived in Hartford the past few years .Mrs. Bassett was a member of the first class of the Normal School and taught School in Lyon County. In Emporia, she is survived by a brother, L.O. Priest and a sister, Mrs. J.L. Williams. Charles Priest, another brother, lived in California.
